Transition program

Migration and deployment services.

The ServLogi Transition Program supports infrastructure migration through workload assessment, deployment planning, technical validation, and cutover coordination. Platform and compliance specialists work with your team to define the migration scope and operating responsibilities.

Why the program exists

Migration planning for regulated workloads.

Inheriting a FedRAMP High baseline removes the longest task from your program plan. It does not, however, move your data, redefine your control responsibilities, or inform your assessor which documentation now comes from ServLogi. These tasks can take several months, and they are precisely what this program addresses.

  • A clear plan A written schedule aligned to your program dates before any workload moves
  • Defined responsibilities A control-by-control record of what you inherit and what remains with your team
  • Ready for assessment Evidence collected throughout the program rather than assembled at review time
  • Included in your agreement Transition engineering is part of your engagement, not quoted separately
What it covers

Nine workstreams, each with a documented procedure

These tasks arise in nearly every regulated migration. Each is documented in advance, so you can review our approach before work begins.

How it runs

Four phases, with a decision point at the end of each

Each phase concludes with a written, agreed outcome, so the program never advances on an untested assumption.

  1. ScopingWe review your current architecture, data classifications, and authorization obligations, then agree on the deployment size and capacity year. Concludes with a written scope and a target date.
  2. Control mappingOur compliance engineers document, control by control, what the platform provides and what remains with your application. Concludes with a shared responsibility matrix for your assessor.
  3. Build and validateSecure servers are deployed, your team verifies their integrity, and connectivity, storage, and networking are configured to the agreed specification. Concludes with a validated environment and a migration plan.
  4. Cutover and handoverThe workload is migrated, monitoring and incident response go live, and routine evidence collection begins. Concludes with a handover to your dedicated support team.
Who does what

Three teams, one plan

Migrations most often falter when ownership is unclear. Each team’s responsibilities are agreed during planning and documented in the plan.

Your team

Responsible for the application, its data, and decisions about how it operates. Provides architecture details, manages the relationship with your assessor, and approves each phase.

ServLogi platform engineering

Deploys servers, configures computing, storage, and networking, leads the migration with you, and transitions your account to its ongoing support team.

ServLogi compliance engineering

Prepares the control mapping, assembles evidence for inherited controls, and answers assessor questions about the hosting platform directly.

Program scope

What the program does not cover

To avoid misunderstandings later, we are clear from the outset about what falls outside the program. These items remain your responsibility or are quoted separately.

FAQ

Questions about the program

All questions

No. Transition engineering is included in your engagement rather than quoted as a separate professional service, in the same way that dedicated hardware, cleared support, and the inherited baseline are priced together. Commercial terms are provided for each engagement during a briefing. See our pricing page for an indicative price range.

Most transitions take 8 to 16 weeks from planning to handover. The deciding factor is rarely the infrastructure. It is how quickly control responsibilities can be agreed and how much the application must change. We commit to a date at the end of the planning phase, once both are known.

Yes, and we recommend it. Planning and control mapping take place well before your capacity year, so the build phase can begin as soon as capacity is available. As 2026 capacity is fully committed, new engagements are scheduled for 2027 through 2029. See our capacity update.

Frequently. If you already work with a systems integrator or managed service provider, our engineers support their plan rather than replacing it, and responsibilities are agreed during planning. Partners in our partner program have deployed on ServLogi before and need less onboarding.

Our compliance engineers answer questions about the hosting platform directly, so your team does not need to relay technical detail on our behalf. Questions about your own application remain with you. This division is documented in the shared responsibility matrix prepared in phase two.

Your account transitions to a dedicated support team, and evidence collection continues on its regular schedule through the Client Portal. Escalation procedures agreed during the program remain in effect. See our support and escalation reference.

Next steps

Begin with a planning conversation

Share your current architecture and your authorization deadline. We will outline what your migration would involve before any agreement is signed.

Request a briefing

A working session with our federal operations and compliance teams to review your workload, the controls you would inherit, and the capacity years available to you.

Typical duration reflects engagements completed to date and is confirmed for your program at the end of the planning phase. Commercial terms, including the treatment of transition engineering, are provided for each engagement during a briefing rather than from a published rate card.
